Contacts BU is made by Great Work LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the Contacts BU iPhone app does with your information.

Your data stays on your iPhone

Your contacts and the backup files Contacts BU makes from them are stored only on your iPhone, inside Contacts BU. It is never sent to us, never used for advertising, and never sold. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

Contacts are never uploaded

Contacts BU has no server and no account. Your contacts are not sent to us, to Google, or to anyone else, and the ads in the free version never receive them. A backup leaves the app only if you tap Export and pick where it goes.

What a backup contains

Backups include the contacts Contacts BU can see: names, phone numbers, emails, postal addresses, birthdays, websites, social profiles and photos. Contact notes are not included, because iOS only lets apps read notes with special permission from Apple. If you chose limited access, only the contacts you shared are included.

Device backups

Like other app data, Contacts BU's backups are included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have them turned on; those belong to you and are handled by Apple or your computer, not by us.

Permissions

• Contacts: Used to read your contacts when you back them up, and to add contacts back when you restore. Contacts BU never deletes or changes your existing contacts. You can change this anytime in Settings > Apps > Contacts BU > Contacts.

No account

Contacts BU has no sign-up or login. We don't collect your name, email address or contacts.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. If you allow tracking when iOS asks (App Tracking Transparency), Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads; if you don't, ads are not personalized. Google may collect device information such as your IP address and device model to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it later from Privacy Choices in the More tab. Purchases

Contacts Backup Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.

Children

Contacts BU is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
