Common questions

Where are my backups? On your iPhone, inside Contacts BU, in the Backups tab. Deleting the app deletes them, so export a copy to Files, iCloud Drive or email if you want one somewhere else.

How do automatic backups work? With Contacts Backup Pro, pick daily, weekly or monthly. Each time you open Contacts BU and your newest backup is older than that, a new one is made. iOS doesn't let apps read contacts on a timer while they're closed. The 10 newest automatic backups are kept.

Will restoring create duplicates? Restore only adds contacts from the backup that don't match one you already have by name, phone number or email. With limited access, Contacts BU can't see contacts you didn't share, so allow full access before restoring.

Are notes backed up? No. iOS only lets apps read contact notes with special permission from Apple, so backups don't include them.

How do I restore Contacts Backup Pro on a new iPhone? Open Contacts Backup Pro from the More tab and tap Restore.

How do I cancel Contacts Backup Pro? In Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Contacts Backup Pro.
